Shakti in the Park is a one-off event celebrating cultural diversity in Tauranga and the wider Bay of Plenty region. In association with Shakti Community Council and the University of Waikato, students are putting this event together as a space for engagement between people and cultures. This free event aligns with Shakti's strategic vision of improving harmony, connectivity and social inclusion among communities. Come along to Coronation Park and enjoy ethnic and western foods from a range of food trucks, entertainment from local artists, and family activities. See you there!
So happy to support a great cause! The lovely folks from the Waipuna Hospice are putting on the first Super Hero Walk at Coronation Park tomorrow. Word on the street is that Captain America and Superman will be around...so if you haven't booked your spot yet, it's not too late, you can still register on the day. And even if you're not feeling like a walk, come by to check out the amazing costumes, cheer on all the super heroes, and grab yourself a coffee or a bite to eat.
